In keeping with this commitment, today I am announcing an independent review of Canada Post. This review supports an informed discussion around Canada Post—a discussion with the public that clearly lays out the facts and viable options for the future of Canada Post. Canadians will be at the centre of the decisions we make. This review will provide the information and evidence Canadians and the Government require to make informed choices about the future of Canada Post. »
« Today, the Honourable Judy M. Foote, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, received a discussion paper outlining options for the future of Canada Post and the services it provides. […] The Task Force’s discussion paper concludes the first phase of the review process. Minister Foote is providing the discussion paper to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates, which is conducting the second phase of the review. Over the fall, the committee will consult Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast. »
