"Legislate a One-for-One Rule – every time the government proposes a new regulation, it must eliminate an existing one."

"Today, Treasury Board President Tony Clement introduced the Red Tape Reduction Act in Parliament to enshrine the One-for-One Rule in law. This fulfills a commitment made in the Government of Canada's October 2012 Red Tape Reduction Action Plan and reaffirmed in the October 2013 Speech from the Throne. This introduction occurred during the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) Red Tape Awareness Week" (Source 1)

"Bill C-21, An Act to control the administrative burden that regulations impose on businesses (short title: Red Tape Reduction Act), was introduced and received first reading in the House of Commons on 29 January 2014. It recieved the Royal Assent on 23 April 2015." (Source 2)
